With the Fourth of July falling on Sunday, the City of Summit had a number of options available. The Summit Interfaith Council applauds the City’s wonderful decision to move the festivities to Monday, July 5th, in order to avoid all worship services during the weekend.
This is an important issue to the members of the Council and to our worshipers. As people of faith, we want to be able to participate in all of the wonderful activities that take place in our community while also worshipping according to our individual traditions. This solution allows us to do both of those things.
For a schedule of Monday’s events, please go to the City’s website.
